Description of Job
This position provides supervision for a unit of 6-12 custodians in the Facilities Management Department. This includes scheduling and prioritizing work assignments, training, providing coaching and feedback, evaluating performance, and administering progressive disciplinary actions. The position is responsible for inventory of equipment and supplies, waste removal and budget management. Uses defined means of college communication to maintain safety of staff and students ,i.e. walkie-talkies, cell phone, email, etc. The Custodial Supervisor also performs custodial duties and fills in for absences.
This is for the following shift:
Sunday - Thursday, 5:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.
Second shift differential rate (7.5%) applies Monday - Thursday
Third shift differential rate (20%) applies Sunday

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position (part-time experience will be prorated).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong customer service skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets, for tasks such as scheduling, documenting performance, and email communication.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Ability to train new employees and ensure they fully understand established procedures and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of basic budgets and inventory procedures, ensuring efficient resource management and cost control.
